Our inviting menu emphasises quality and the handmade, reflecting the philosophy of the Arts & Crafts Movement. You can select from our menu of freshly prepared meals and home bakes including our gourmet open sandwiches and Blackwell chocolate brownies. On sunny days you can enjoy your meal outside on terraces laid out by Thomas Mawson, overlooking the Coniston Fells and Lake Windermere – making us one of The Times’ ‘50 best places to eat alfresco’.
Blackwell Classic Cream Tea
Pot of tea and homemade scone served with fruit jam and fresh whipped cream.
Griddled chicken and bacon Caesar salad: Dressed with cherry tomatoes, gem lettuce, croutons, parmesan shavings and our homemade Caesar dressing.
Mediterranean vegetable and feta salad: Roasted aubergine, courgette, pepper and tomato with cauliflower couscous, tomato sauce, feta cheese and a poached egg.
Smoked mackerel pate: Served with a mixed salad and toasted bread.
