A Bathymetric Atlas of The English Lake District

10 - 17 September 2016
Performances start promptly each day at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm and last about 30 minutes.

Conceived and devised by artist Christian Barnes, A Bathymetric Atlas of The English Lake District, is a huge and unique hand-made book, revealing the hidden contours of the principal lakes in the Lake District. The work will be shown, for the first time in Cumbria, in the beautiful barrel-vaulted Oliver Thompson Gallery at Blackwell. Its pristine white pages will be turned by volunteers, three times a day, during this exhibition.
