BLACKWELL TEAROOM

In the light and spacious Tea Room you can relax and select from a menu of locally produced and freshly prepared meals and snacks. Our interesting menu has an emphasis on quality and the
hand-made, reflecting the philosophy of the Arts and Crafts Movement. On sunny days you can enjoy your meal on one of the glorious garden terraces overlooking the lake.

Soup of the Day
Served with toasted foccacia bread

 

Specials Board

We serve different specials each day including dishes like:

Traditional Bubble and Squeak
served with crispy bacon, a fried egg and grilled tomato

Fresh Vegetable Frittata (V)
made with courgettes, onions, tomatoes, basil and parmesan cheese. Served on a bed of green leaves, sunblushed tomatoes and with a honey vinaigrette dressing

 

Sandwiches (served all day)

Open sandwiches are served on freshly baked and toasted foccacia bread with a garnish of lettuce, tomato, mozzarella and pesto:

Thin slices of pastrami served with homemade Danish remoulade sauce and cornichon pickle


Chicken breast with crispy bacon, red pesto and creme fraiche


Norwegian prawns with sliced avocado and marie rose sauce

Gravad Lax served with creme fraiche and caper and chive sauce

Red and yellow pepper antipasto with mascarpone cheese and pesto (V)


  We also serve a wide range of drinks including cappuccinos, home made lemonade and alcohol is available with meals. There are also a selection of home made cakes available, including scones, teabread and our famous Blackwell chocolate hazelnut brownie.
