For
well over 30 years, Blackwell was used as a school. Firstly by girls
evacuated during World War Two from Huyton College in Liverpool and
afterwards as a private girls preparatory school.
We
are delighted to have been in contact with many of Blackwell's former
pupils who have been invaluable to the project, both through their
generous donations and with their photographs, memories and anecdotes
about boarding at Blackwell.
We
have dedicated a room at Blackwell to the history of the house,
concentrating on its social history and in particular on its days
as a school. We are therefore interested in hearing from anyone
who is able to illustrate this history and who has yet to get in
touch.
