The Lakeland Arts Trust has four fantastic visitor attractions situated in the Lake District: Abbot Hall Art Gallery, & Museum of Lakeland Life & Industry, in Kendal, Blackwell, The Arts & Crafts House, Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere Steamboat Museum, which is currently undergoing a major re-development.
Guided Sessions
Our guided sessions are led by enthusiastic and experienced Gallery and Museum Educators. Pupils are invited to engage with selected works of art and historical objects in the Trust’s Collection and temporary exhibitions. This is achieved through investigation, practical activities and discussion. Guided sessions can be tailored to your requirements and learning needs.
Self Guided
We welcome independent visits by school groups to Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Museum of Lakeland Life & Industry and Blackwell, The Arts & Crafts House. All self guided visits are free but must be pre-booked. We are happy to discuss the content of your visit, and are able to arrange teaching resources for you.
