After looking round the house you can relax and select from a menu
of locally produced and freshly prepared meals and snacks in the
light and spacious Tea Room. An interesting menu is provided with
an emphasis on quality and the hand-made, reflecting the philosophy
of the Arts and Crafts Movement. On sunny days you can enjoy your
meal on one of the glorious garden terraces overlooking the lake. For

We
warmly welcome children and families at Blackwell. There is plenty
to do in and around the house including the Blackwell quiz (please
ask at Reception on arrival). We also provide half-portions for all
of our meals and snacks in the Tea Room. Due to the delicate nature
of the interior furnishings, objects and floors, please be aware that
pushchairs are not permitted inside the main rooms.
There
is free car (limited) and coach (pre-booked) parking for visitors.
Car parking
is limited at Blackwell to around 50 cars. During busy periods you
will be guided by an attendant to a suitable bay - please follow their
instructions.
No
dogs (except service dogs) are permitted in the house or grounds. The
gardens at Blackwell are not large enough to allow dogs to be exercised.
There are some shaded areas for parking that on sunny days we reserve
for those with dogs in their cars.
