GROUP VISITS
Diningroom doorway Why not bring a group to visit Blackwell? The house is a magical place commanding spectacular views of the Lake District from the beautiful garden terraces. We have free parking for your coach, a tearoom to enjoy and you will be met on arrival by a member of staff.
GROUP ADMISSION 2009

Weekdays £5.80 per person

Abbot Hall, Museum of Lakeland Life and Blackwell combined £10.00 per person

PLEASE NOTE
Blackwell is run by an independent charitable trust which relies on admission fees for its income - National Trust, English Heritage, NACF and other such memberships do not entitle free admission.

This discount is available to all pre booked parties of 10 or more paying visitors arriving in the same vehicle.

On arrival, all groups will be welcomed and given an orientation of the site. Each group member will also receive a complimentary site plan. Groups of 20 or more will be given a brief introduction to Blackwell and the Arts & Crafts Movement. There is a free afternoon talk about the house at 2pm on weekdays for groups of fewer than 20 to listen to if they wish.

GROUP BENEFITS

We offer the group organiser:

*Free admission when bringing a group of 10 or more paying visitors.

*Free lunch when lunch is booked for 10 or more paying visitors.

*An additional free place when bringing 40 or more paying visitors.

*Coach drivers receive free admission and a refreshment voucher.

*Familiarisation visits and free publicity material are available to group organisers.

*Groups may book to arrive at 10am, before the house is open to the public (subject to availability).

CATERING

We offer a choice of set lunches in our licensed tea room for pre-booked groups. We are able to cater for 20 people at one time and therefore require that larger groups divide into more than one sitting. There are also group rates for morning coffee, cream teas or afternoon tea, but to avoid delay in the restaurant, your food and drink MUST be booked in advance.

Please note: Food and drink cannot be consumed in the house or grounds unless it is purchased on the premises.

GROUP SIZE

We welcome coach parties of up to 50 people but ask that on arrival you split into groups of no more than 25 to ensure greatest enjoyment of the house.

CHANGING EXHIBITS
It is always best to check which exhibitions are currently on show. If your party wishes to see particular works from the collections, you are advised to check they are on current display.
