HALL ART GALLERY & MUSEUM OF LAKELAND LIFE
Abbot Hall Art Gallery has a fine collection
of watercolors by Ruskin, which are displayed on a rotational basis.
The adjacent museum houses furniture by Simpsons of Kendal and examples
of Ruskin Lace and Langdale Linen as well as items from Annie Garnett's
spinnery. Open Mon- Sat mid Jan- 9th Dec, 10.30am -5pm (closing

ARMITT LIBRARY AND MUSEUM
Ambleside. Houses a large collection
of books about Cumbria and its history, also displays examples of
Ruskin lace, Langdale Linen and paintings by W. G Collingwood and

KESWICK MUSEUM
Keswick. Built in 1897 by Thomas Hodgson
in the Arts and Crafts manner. Contains work by the Keswick School
of Industrial Arts.

MUSEUM
Coniston. Established in 1901 by W G Collingwood, the museum houses
work by Ruskin, plus Langdale Linen and other examples of Arts and

TULLIE
HOUSE MUSEUM AND ART GALLERY
Carlisle. The museum has collections
of works by Burne-Jones, D.G. Rossetti and other members of the
Pre-Raphaelite circle. Embroidery designs by William Morris and
ceramics by William De Morgan are on display with works by the Keswick
