This one-man selling show will present new work by ceramicist David Roberts. A distinguished potter, he is credited with developing large-scale Raku (smoke-fired) ceramics in the UK, transforming an ancient Japanese technique into a contemporary art form. His monumental coil-built vessel forms reflect his engagement with the contour of landscape and fascination for the results of the unpredictable and evocative firing process of Raku. Roberts’ ceramics are represented in many private and public collections including the V&A and National Museum of Scotland.
