27 March - 13 June 2010
Since early childhood both Junko Mori and Jacqueline Ryan have been interested in nature. Jacqueline collected insects and butterflies, while Junko was fascinated by her brother’s microscope and the study of repeatedly dividing cells. Nature is now the chief source of inspiration for their work and they both collect dried seeds and plants to examine and draw. Alongside their sculpture and jewellery, the exhibition will include specimens from their collections, sketchbooks, models and drawings to illustrate how their ideas are similarly derived, abstracted and realised.
Exhibition in association with Adrian Sassoon, London.
