An Arts & Crafts Story
New display now open
The Arts & Crafts Story is told through examples of the finest objects from the period, including designs by the father of the movement William Morris, his contemporary Charles Annesley Voysey and objects designed by Blackwell's architect, MH Baillie Scott.
This display highlights key people whose passion and enthusiasm for the individual handmade object, made the Arts & Crafts a highly influential international design movement. You will learn about the Arts & Crafts movement through craftsmanship, sense of place, design unity and nature, and get a deeper understanding of Blackwell.
The project is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
